By downloading, installing, or using Grovr, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

Plain-English summary: Grovr is free in 1.0. You own the content you upload. When you go live on YouTube, you are the broadcaster — you're responsible for what's on-air. Grovr is provided as-is, hosted on Supabase in EU-west, and governed by the laws of England and Wales.

01

The agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Grovr ("we", "us") covering your use of the Grovr mobile app, the Grovr website at grovr.team, and any related services (together, the "Service").

By creating an account or otherwise using the Service you confirm you are at least 13, that you accept these Terms, and — if you are under 18 — that a parent or guardian has reviewed and consented to them on your behalf.

02

What Grovr is

Grovr is a sports club management app. It handles fixtures, availability, squad selection, live scoring, statistics, club finance tracking, in-app chat, push notifications, and broadcasting to YouTube. In version 1.0 the app covers nine sports:

Cricket Badminton Tennis Squash Table Tennis Pickleball Padel Football Netball
03

Accounts & clubs

Registration

You need an account to use Grovr. Give us accurate, current information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for anything that happens under your account.

Account security

Keep your password confidential. If you think someone else has accessed your account, tell us straight away at [email protected]. We are not liable for losses caused by unauthorised use of your account where you have not taken reasonable care.

Club admins

Clubs have administrators who manage settings, membership, sponsors, and scoring locks. Club admins are responsible for using the Service appropriately within their club, making members aware of these Terms, and ensuring any members under 13 have parental consent.

04

Acceptable use

Use the Service lawfully and in line with these Terms. You must not:

  • Use the Service for any fraudulent, unlawful, or unauthorised purpose.
  • Post, transmit, share, or broadcast content that is offensive, abusive, defamatory, obscene, hateful, discriminatory, or otherwise unlawful.
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with a person, club, or organisation.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service, any account, or any underlying infrastructure.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service, or the experience of other users.
  • Use bots, scrapers, or other automated tools to access or extract data from the Service without our prior written consent.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service, except to the extent permitted by law.
  • Collect email addresses, personal data, or contact details of other users without their consent.
05

Your content

You own what you upload. Match data, photos, chat messages, poster images, and sponsor artwork remain yours (or your club's). By uploading, you grant Grovr a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display, and distribute that content solely as needed to provide the Service to you and your club — for example, showing your match photos to your teammates or overlaying your sponsor logo on your own broadcast.

You are responsible for accuracy. Match scores, availability responses, statistics, and finance records are user-entered; Grovr does not verify them.

You must not upload content that infringes anyone's intellectual property or privacy, or that contains malware, tracking scripts, or other harmful code.

06

Live broadcasts

Grovr can send a live video and audio feed of your match to YouTube. To use this you need:

  • Your own YouTube account with live streaming enabled (YouTube requires phone verification and, in some regions, a 24-hour wait after enabling).
  • To connect that account to Grovr via YouTube OAuth. You can revoke access at any time in your Google account settings.

You are the broadcaster. The stream is published under your YouTube channel. That means you — not Grovr — are responsible for:

  • The content that appears in the video and audio, including anything said or shown on-camera.
  • Obtaining any consents required from players, spectators, or venue owners before broadcasting.
  • Any music, third-party media, sponsor branding, or logos included in the stream.
  • Compliance with YouTube's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.

We may suspend the broadcast feature for your account if we reasonably believe it is being used to publish unlawful, infringing, or seriously harmful content.

07

Play-Cricket sync

Cricket clubs can connect Grovr to the England and Wales Cricket Board's Play-Cricket platform by supplying their club's Play-Cricket API token. When enabled, Grovr fetches fixtures and scorecards on your behalf.

Use of the Play-Cricket API is subject to the ECB's own terms and API policies. Club admins are responsible for ensuring they have the authority to enable the integration for their club and for keeping the API token secure.

08

Third-party services

The Service depends on a small set of third parties: Supabase (backend infrastructure), Firebase (crash reporting and push notifications), YouTube (live streaming), and Play-Cricket (fixture sync, optional). Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. Grovr is not responsible for their conduct, availability, or content decisions.

09

Fees

Grovr 1.0 is free to download and use. There are no in-app payments, no subscriptions, and no card details are collected inside Grovr. If we introduce paid features in future, the price and payment terms will be shown clearly before you're charged, and these Terms will be updated to reflect them.

The in-app match-fee tracking feature is an accounting tool between club members and their club. Grovr does not process, hold, or transmit any money; we accept no liability for club-internal fee arrangements.

10

Warranty & liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Grovr and its people are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or in connection with the Service — including, without limitation, any loss caused by service downtime, a failed broadcast, a lost score, or a Play-Cricket sync error.

Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our total aggregate liability to you for any and all claims arising under these Terms will not exceed £100.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

11

Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from Profile → Delete Account in the app.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, if we are required to do so by law, or if we reasonably believe your continued use puts other users or the Service at risk. We'll give reasonable notice where practical.

On termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including content ownership, warranty disclaimers, liability limits, and governing law — continue to apply.

12

Changes

We may modify or discontinue any part of the Service and may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes to the Terms will be announced through the app or by email, with an updated effective date at the top of this page. Continued use after the effective date is your acceptance of the revised Terms.

13

Governing law

Grovr is a UK-based service. These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of them are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. Either party may still seek injunctive or equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.

User data is stored on Supabase infrastructure in the European Union (EU-west region). See our Privacy Policy for detail.
